About “Ask the Shaykh”

“Ask the Shaykh” is a service from Manārah that lets you send your Islamic question or request for a fatwa to Shaykh Abdulkarim Shadifat. Write what’s on your mind in full privacy; it will be reviewed and answered, in shā’ Allāh, and may be published among the Fatwas for everyone’s benefit.

The Shaykh answers personally; the answer may be published among the Fatwas.

Frequently asked

How do I send my question to the Shaykh?

Write your question clearly above. You may optionally leave your email so the answer can reach you. Questions are reviewed and answered in turn, in shā’ Allāh.

When will I get an answer?

The Shaykh answers personally, so it may take a few days depending on the volume of questions — and he may not be able to reach every question.

Is my question private?

Yes. Only the Shaykh reads your question, and it is never published with your name. If the answer is published among the Fatwas for everyone’s benefit, it carries no information identifying you.

Do I need an account or email?

No. You can send your question without any account. Email is optional — only so the answer can be sent to you.

Where can I find previous answers and fatwas?

Published answers and fatwas are in the Fatwas section of Manārah, organised by topic.
